Report: Kelly to resign as Philadelphia Housing Authority director

Will there ever be stable leadership for the Philadelphia Housing Authority?

The Inquirer reports Michael Kelly, who took over as PHA director after predecessor Carl Greene left amid accusations of financial and personal wrongdoings, will resign.

Kelly came to Philadelphia from the New York City Housing Authority in late 2010 and was named executive director of PHA several months later. He’s filed his two-week notice and Director of Audit and Compliance Kelvin Jeremiah will replace him.

It’s not clear what prompted his resignation.
