Report: Former Giants LB considering run for Congress in New Jersey

It appears a former pro-football linebacker may at the very least be considering a run for Congress in New Jersey.

The Associated Press is reporting former Giants linebacker and Hall of Fame player Harry Carson is thinking about a run for Congress.

Carson, who currently lives in Franklin Lakes, told the Associated Press by phone he hadn’t made a definitive decision but was thinking about it.

According to the report, the idea to run became more attractive last month after the state’s Congressional districts were redrawn, resulting in moves that left GOP incumbent Congressman Scott Garrett without a Democratic challenger.
