Rendell endorses Patrick Murphy for Pennsylvania Attorney General

As the Pennsylvania Attorney General race heats up, Patrick Murphy has won a likely valuable endorsement from former Gov. Ed Rendell.

“One thing I know for sure: no one will get a pass under Patrick’s watch. He will fight crime wherever it exists – on the streets, in boardrooms, and in the corridors of Harrisburg,” the endorsement reads. “That’s what Pennsylvanians deserve, and that’s the type of leader we need.”

Murphy began his campaign in April and is after the Democratic nomination, along with former Lackawanna County prosecutor Kathleen Kane and former Philadelphia prosecutor Dan McCaffery. Montco Sen. John Rafferty is in the Republican race.
