Rendell endorses Grace for his ability to “get things done”

First District City Council candidate Joe Grace was endorsed Friday by former Philadelphia Mayor and Pa. Gov. Ed Rendell.

Rendell had a lot to say about Grace, and NewsWorks partner Philadelphia Weekly highlighted some important notes from Rendell’s speech.

“People understand paying more if they get something in return. And that’s the challenge that’s going to face the next Council, and Lord knows we don’t need professional politicians on Council. We need someone who understands, someone who’s got a good heart and someone who’s willing to stand up and be counted, and that’s Joe.”
