Remainder of workweek dazzling beautiful, increasing clouds this weekend

    Welcome to September!

Well, at least it sure does feel like it.

Many of you woke up to temperatures in the 50s to low 60s this morning. The crisp, dry air is certainly reminiscent of autumn.

(And you know that the weather is pristine when there are no bulletins on US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly’s map!)

Another comfortable late summer day is here, and there’s one major difference: much less wind. High pressure remains firmly in control. Mucho sun and just some happy little clouds passing by. Light northwest to southwest winds later. Once again, below normal temperatures, with most topping out in the upper 70s (slightly cooler in the mountains). Clear skies tonight, and temperatures will once again drop down into the 50s for most. For tomorrow, very similar conditions.

Now, the weekend. Both days look mostly cloudy, which means that there will be some sun. High pressure — the comfortable weather producer — will be moving off the coast. A slight chance of showers Saturday for everyone and Sunday for South Jersey. We’re not talking about a wash here, folks, just a chance. Temperatures in the upper 70s each day.

BOAT/BEACH: Spectacular. Light breeze (sea breeze forming later), abundant sunshine, and warm water. Small breakers and swells. There is a low risk of rip currents, but always swim near a lifeguard. High tide is around 2 p.m.
