Recycling grants announced for East Bradford and Upper Providence townships

    One township each in Chester and Montgomery counties will share a $146,000 recycling grant based on their populations and the amount they recycled in 2009.

    East Bradford Township will receive $40,066 for 1,558.3 tons recycled, the Daily Local reports, and Upper Providence Township will receive $106,750 for 3,389 tons recycled.

    The grants are part of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Recycling Development and Implementation Grant Program.
