Rafferty exits Pa. attorney general race after missing Corbett’s endorsement

    Pa. Sen. John Rafferty is calling it a day. The Republican, whose district includes parts of Berks, Chester and Montgomery counties, has backed out of the race for state attorney general after failing to win Gov. Tom Corbett’s endorsement.

    The West Chester Daily Local has more details from Rafferty’s speech, including his plan to continue on as chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee.

    Cumberland County District Attorney David Freed won Corbett’s endorsement.
