Public to hear annual review results of Salem and Hope Creek nuclear plants

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will hold a public meeting in Salem County, N.J., tonight to review the outcome of the annual assessment of the Salem and Hope Creek nuclear power plants.

The 6 p.m. meeting will end with a public comment session for residents to ask questions of the NRC.

Salem 1, Salem 2 and Hope Creek make up the nation’s second-largest commercial nuclear complex and are reviewed annually for performance. The NRC updates its inspection finding each quarter on its website.

Tonight’s meeting is at the PSEG Energy & Environmental Resource Center.
