Public meeting today on proposed Electoral College changes

Pennsylvania’s Senate State Government Committee will hold a public meeting today on Republicans’ proposal to change the Electoral College.

Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams announced the meeting yesterday.

“Not only would the proposed change to the Electoral College disproportionately affect the value of votes in the city of Philadelphia, it would ruin Pennsylvania’s political clout on the national level,” reads Williams’ statement on the change that would apportion most of the state’s votes based on how the candidates do in each congressional district.

Several people are expected to testify at the 11 a.m. meeting.
