Public budget-impact meetings for state-related universities begin next week

    Wednesday will be the first in a series of public budget-impact meetings for Pennsylvania’s state-related universities.

    “The budget adopted in June has dramatically reduced state support for higher education at all levels,” Sen. Vincent Hughes said. “My colleagues on the Senate Appropriations Committee and I need to hear firsthand the impact this budget will have on these schools and the students and communities they serve.”

    The meetings are meant to give university officials to address the impacts the state budget cuts to higher education will have on their institutions. Here’s the list of meeting dates:
