Pennsylvania SPCA officials find three emaciated dogs inside West Oak Lane home

A man was cited Wednesday after investigators say they found three emaciated dogs inside his home.

Humane law enforcement officers say they obtained a search warrant for a home on the 7000 block of Sommers Road in the West Oak lane section of the city after receiving a tip. When they arrived they found three emaciated pit bull terrier dogs inside, according to investigators.

The dogs’ owner, 23-year-old Anthony Wall, was cited for two counts of animal cruelty for unsanitary confinement and failure to provide veterinary care.

The dogs were taken to the Pennsylvania SPCA shelter on Erie Avenue for veterinary evaluation and treatment.

“These dogs need medical attention, a healthy diet, and ultimately, a good home,” said Director of Humane Law Enforcement George Bengal. “They’re in good hands now, and we will work to rehabilitate them so they can move on to better lives.”
