An anti-gun violence protest greeted commuters during the afternoon rush hour yesterday on the 7400 Block of Oxford Avenue in Fox Chase. Members of the anti-gun violence group, Heeding God’s Call, mounted the protest with 17 members in front of Mike and Kate’s Gun Shop at 7492 Oxford Ave.

The normally congested intersection of Oxford and Rockwell avenues honked in support of the protesters. The gun shop was closed during the rush hour.

According to Bryan Miller, director of the group, they alternate protests in the Northeast between Mike and Kate’s Gun Shop in Fox Chase and Delia’s Gun Shop in Wissinoming.
