Prince Music Theater announces leadership changes

Philadelphia’s Prince Music announced a series of changes today, from personnel to venue upgrades.

The Center City theater named James E. Hines its new executive director, and also announed a new 14-member board of directors.“Our search for an executive director centered on the need to find someone who had hands on experience in virtually every aspect of venue management, as well as knowledge in all performance genres we were planning for the Prince, and we found him,” Board Chairman Herb Lotman said. Hines isn’t making too far a leap — he joins the Prince from the Fairmount Park-based Mann Center.

In keeping with the new board and new director, The Prince is working to restore the sheen of its building, too. Current projects include digital technology installation, new flooring and other upgrades to “restore the Prince as a premier theater.”
