Priest described as ‘ladies man’ during Philly trial
Court testimony today told the story of a Philadelphia priest who had a series trysts with married women in his parishes, culminating with an episode in which he is said to have fondled the 13-year-old daughter of one of his girlfriends, reports Philly.com.
Prosecutors portrayed the incident as another example of Msgr. William J. Lynn’s reticence to act against priests guilty of sexual misconduct. Lynn is charged with endangering the welfare of children and is the highest ranking Catholic official to be criminally prosecuted in a church sex abuse case.
