President’s House needs new audio-visual system

Remember when Philadelphia opened the President’s House, the free, tour-able outdoor structure that on the site that President George Washington once called home?

Of course you do; it opened less than a year ago. But the weather has already taken its toll on the audio-visual system that educates visitors, and the whole thing needs to be replaced.

KYW reports there have been problems with the AV system from the start, making it difficult to hear and watch the stories of the slaves who once resided at the Old City space. Being exposed to the elements has led to water and heat buildup, so the equipment has to go.
