A major power outage is impacting a sizable portion of Brick this evening.

Over 4,000 JCP&L customers are without power in the northern Ocean County municipality shortly after 9:00 p.m., according to the utility.

The impacted area is generally north of the Metedeconk River.

It’s due to an earlier fire at a local substation, according to Ocean County Police, Fire, & EMS on Facebook.
