Poll: Should Ocean City allow BYOB?

Last summer, a few restaurant owners tried to get Ocean City to repeal its long time ban on having alcohol in public spaces by proposing that restaurants be allowed to let patrons bring beer and/or wine to dinner.

You’d think they’d proposed replacing the beach with a parking lot. Heated words were thrown and – allegedly – a punch, to one of the supporters outside of his church.

    It got a little crazy.

Last year’s push didn’t work, but proponents are back this year, and recently got enough petition signatures to get BYOB put on the May 8 ballot.
