Poll finds MTV show has positive effect Jersey Shore’s image

MTV’s Jersey Shore show isn’t wreacking the havoc on the vacation destination that many have suggested it does.

A poll out of Farleigh-Dickinson University suggests the show is even boosting the Shore’s profile.

Feeders, just like I’m the lone Philadelphian who’s never seen Rocky, I might just also be the lone Shore-goer who’s never seen the Jersey Shore. I was OK with this. But would I love the Shore even more if I tuned in?

“People who have seen the show, and are reminded of the show, are 25 percent more likely than everyone else to say they have a favorable view of New Jersey,” FDU’s Peter Woolley told NewsWorks’ Monika Zaleska.

But as Monkia was reminded, not everyone agrees with that assessment.
