Political signs being vandalized, stolen in Haverford

Someone’s unhappy with the politicians (and their signs) in Haverford. Hundreds of candidate-endorsing lawn signs have gone missing over the last few weeks. That is, those that aren’t being ripped up and left in pieces in front yards.

The Delaware County Times talked to commissioner and judge candidates for both parties, who say the thefts are putting a serious dent in their campaigns.

Magisterial District Judge candidate Philip Lozano attributes the vandalism and sign stealing to harmless teenagers, but he and opponent Robert Burke have different ideas about how to approach voters about placing signs on their lawns.

Police have not identified a suspect.
