Police: Thieves made off with a lot of clothing from a Cedarbrook Sneaker Villa [video]
Philadelphia Police are seeking information about two men who robbed a Sneaker Villa location on Wadsworth Avenue while a getaway driver waited outside.
Around 2:20 p.m. on Oct. 2, the pair entered the store located at 1616 Wadsworth Ave. while an alleged accomplice waited outside in a “Pontiac sedan with possible damage to the passenger side front fender,” according to police.
“As the suspects were inside, they collected several brown Levi jackets and gray Nike hooded sweatshirts valued at $6,080 and plac[ed] them onto one rack,” a police statement reads. “After gathering these items, both suspects grabbed all of the clothing gathered and ran from the store into the waiting vehicle and fled the area.”
The suspects who entered the store are described as black men, about 20 years old.
One had a stocky build and was wearing a black sleeveless T-shirt, camouflage pants, dark sneakers and dark-colored baseball cap with a red brim. The other had a medium build and was wearing a dark T-shirt with a white colored emblem on the front, blue jeans, dark baseball cap and dark colored sneakers.
The vehicle in which they fled is believed to be a silver or gray late-model Pontiac Grand Prix or Bonneville.
