Police release video of Sunday armed robbery inside Chelten Plaza store

The Philadelphia Police Department released surveillance footage on Thursday detailing an armed robbery inside the Deals Store in Germantown’s Chelten Plaza last weekend.

At 7:30 p.m. Sunday, two unknown males entered the Deals Store located in the shopping center located at 301 W. Chelten Ave.

One suspect produced a handgun and demanded money as the second suspect grabbed a female employee and forced her to open the register. The suspects took an undetermined amount of money and fled in an unknown direction.

The first suspect is described by police as a 5-foot 11-inch tall black male in his early to mid-twenties, with a thin build and light complexion. He was armed with a black handgun and wearing a white T-shirt, blue/gray shorts, black sneakers and a dark ski mask.

The second suspect is described a black or Latino male, medium complexion, of roughly the same age and build, wearing a black shirt, black pants with a blue stripe, grayish/brown boots and a dark ski mask.

If you see these suspects, police ask you to not approach them but contact 911 immediately.
