On Friday, Philadelphia Police released video footage of a May 3 early-morning burglary at Ray’s Appliance and Mattress Store in Germantown.

The video shows a man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt break through the lock on the security gate outside the store, located near Germantown and Chelten avenues, around 2:30 a.m.

Once past the gate, the burglar shattered the glass front door, got $2,600 in cash from the store safe and took off in an unknown direction.

He is described as a 5-foot-9 black male between the ages of 40 and 50 with a medium build and scruffy beard and mustache.
