Police: Little Egg Harbor man steals power tools, texts photos of stolen property to owner

    A Little Egg Harbor man was arrested after he allegedly stole power tools and then sent text message images of the stolen property to the owner, police said in a release. 

    Brandon Moore, 22, was charged with burglary and theft Sunday after police were summoned to a Center Street home in reference to an allegation that Moore entered a garage and stole several power tools, police said. 

    Moore then allegedly texted photos of the power tools to the owner, according to police, who added that the two parties had a prior dispute over money. 

    Ptl. Eric Nelson, assisted by Ptl. John Kelly, arrested Moore at a home on Lake Champlain Drive and subsequently found and returned the power tools.

    Moore was lodged in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in default of $25,000 bail.
