Police: $400K in jewelry stolen from Philadelphia shop

Police are searching for two masked men who broke into a downtown Philadelphia jewelry store and made off with merchandise worth about $400,000.

Police on Friday released surveillance footage of the suspects breaking into Barsky Diamonds on Feb. 13 in a section of the city called Jewelers’ Row. They are seen entering the front door, taking covers off jewelry cases, smashing some of them and stuffing items into sacks.

Police responding to a burglary alarm just after 3:30 a.m. discovered the security gate up and the front door open.

The video shows the men fleeing down the street with the bags of jewelry.
