Plaque installed at Camden County College to recognize All-American athletes

A total of 38 All-American athletes have come from Camden County College, and now, the school has taken the next steps to recognize those student-athletes that have been a part of its 44-year history.

The Gloucester County Times reports the school has unveiled a plaque, funded by trustee board chairman Kevin G. Halpern. The plaque was unveiled to 100 alumni during a recent ceremony and will have a permanent home in Papiano Gymnasium.

The Gloucester County Times says previously, there was no acknowledgement of the school’s sucessfull athletes. The new plaque will be updated as more All-American athletes are named.

Among the 38 All-American athletes, the names of male and female athletes dating back to 1970 are included on the plaque.
