Pileggie holds public forum to discuss Chester Upland’s finances, future

More than 60 people had already gathered at the Chester Upland administration building by the start of the 8:30 a.m. public forum with Sen. Dominic Pileggi, R-Chester.

“I have heard from many parents who have deep concerns about the situation in Chester Upland and how it is affecting their children,” Pileggi said.
The struggling school district will receive state funding to help keep its doors open for the remainder of the year.

WHYY/Newsworks’ Lizz Fiedler is at the meeting and will have more information on this developing story.
