Phoenixville wants streetscape finished by end of summer

Phoenixville Borough Manager E. Jean Krack is wasting no time implementing PennDOT funding. He’s got plans to finish the borough’s streetscape project by the end of this summer.

Phoenixville was one of many communities to receive a portion of PennDOT’s $24.7 million in Community Transportation Initiative funding.

With its $598,000, Phoenixville is looking to complete its five-phase streetscape improvement project. The Mercury has the details on the next two phases, which focus on curb cuts, handicap access, streetlights, benches and other aesthetic enhancements.
