Philly’s paid sick leave bill and Pa.’s 13th Congressional District race

NewsWorks Tonight host Dave Heller talks with reporters Dave Davies and Holly Otterbein about two current political issues.

Davies has observations on the potentially crowded 13th Congressional District race in Pennsylvania. A number of Democrats are said to be eyeing the seat, provided incumbent Allyson Schwartz enters the gubernatorial race.

And paid sick leave is still a hot topic in Philadelphia. Otterbein has more details on Mayor Michael Nutter’s decision to veto the bill that would mandate paid sick leave at most businesses in the city, and whether City Council will muster up the 12 votes it needs for an override.
