Philly police: Officers fatally shoot man with gun

Philadelphia police say officers have shot and killed a man who pointed a gun at them on a North Philadelphia street.

Chief Inspector Scott Small says two officers responded to a report of a man with a gun late last night.

Investigators say the man drew a handgun and pointed it at the officers, prompting them to open fire. Authorities say the 33-year-old man was pronounced dead around 1 a.m. Friday. They did not release his name.
