Philly cop among those charged in Comcast scam

    Philadelphia Police announced yesterday a 15-year department veteran is among those charged with illegally manipulating Comcast customers’ accounts.

    The Daily News reports Officer John Hoesle is charged with 101 counts and has been suspended with intent to dismissed.

    Revealed earlier this week, the scam involved Hoesle and cohorts charging people $150 each to have the group use illegally obtained Comcast IDs to alter their accounts to lower the bills and tack on additional services.
