Phillies food fundraiser kicks off with check donation
Today marks the kick-off of Phans Feeding Families, an effort by the Citizens Bank Foundation and the Phillies to help curb hunger in the Delaware Valley.
The month-long effort aims to help the 900,000 people at risk of hunger in the Delaware Valley. Reps from Citizens Bank, the Phillies and Philabundance will join the Phanatic this morning for the announcement and the presentation of a $133,000 checkk from the foundation for the cause.
Philabundance will receive $50,000 of that money for its role serving the community and acting as a main beneficiary for Phans Feeding Families.
