Philadelphia’s CEO earnings less than national average

It pays to be a CEO, but it pays less in Philadelphia. Numbers from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics show Philadelphia metropolitan area CEOs earn less than the national average.

The Philadelphia Business Journal has the list of the top 10, bookended by No. 1 Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk, Conn., and No. 10 Albuquerque, N.M.

Philadelphia’s CEOs earn an average of $181,230 annually — far less than the $217,080 average in Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk, but nearly double Great Falls, Mt., whose CEOs earn an annual average of $92, 010.
