Philadelphia Union surpasses season ticket sales, unveils new seating packages

After raising its season ticket seat cap, the Philadelphia Union has surpassed last year’s season ticket sales to help fill Chester’s PPL Park. The team has introduced new ticket packages for its loyal fanbase.

The Philadelphia Business Journal reports season ticket sales increased when the cap was raised from 12,000 to 13,000 of PPL’s 18,500 seats.

Two season ticket plans have been introduced for the 2011 season’s 16 remaining games. Fans can now buy  seats for all or part of the season. Those looking for seats in the “supporters” section must be members of the Sons of Ben fan club. Fans who buy the partial nine-game package will jump to the top of the 2012 season ticket waiting list.
