Philadelphia Police to begin using mobile app for tip submissions

The Philadelphia Police Department will soon introduce iWatch, its mobile app for reporting crime.

Developed in 2008 and used in other cities, the app creates more ways for citizens to anonymously contact police to submit non-emergency tips.
CBS3 reports the app will let users connect with the department’s Facebook page, text in tips and reviews the department’s crime information and YouTube videos.

The iWatch Philadelphia site is already live.
