Philadelphia Police Officer injured in hit and run incident

    A Philadelphia Police Officer was released after suffering neck, leg and arm injuries when he was hit by a car in East Mount Airy this morning.

    WPVI-TV reports the incident happened around 1:45 a.m. near Musgrave Street and East Washington Lane.

    The officer was on foot patrol when investigators say a 2003 silver Cadillac ran into him and then dragged him for several feet.

    WPVI-TV says police believe the suspected car had two people in it at the time.
