Philadelphia outlines Little League parade details

Philadelphia city officials plan to celebrate the Taney Dragons’ Little League World Series accomplishments with a parade.

The parade is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in Center City. The players will travel by float for about four miles to a park in south Philadelphia where the parade will conclude with a rally honoring the team.

After the parade the team is scheduled to be honored in a pre-game tribute by the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.

The Taney Dragons represented the Mid-Atlantic region in the Little League World Series, and 13-year-old Mo’ne Davis captivated fans and became the first female pitcher to win a game in the series’ 68-year history.
