Philadelphia officer hospitalized after cash

    A Philadelphia Police Officer was taken to the hospital this morning after an accident in the southwest part of the city.

    WPVI-TV reports the officer was injured when the cruiser collided with a civilian vehicle while in route to a call.

    The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. on the 5800 block of Thomas Street.

    According to WPVI-TV, the impact of the crash also caused the officer’s car to strike a parked car and a pole, sending the other vehicle into a wall.

    The driver of the other car was also taken to a nearby hospital.

    WPVI-TV says both the officer and the other driver are listed in stable condition.
