Philadelphia firefighter in hot water for shirtless calendar pose

To answer your first question, yes, apparently those beefy guys in firefighter calendars are actually firefighters.

And one of them from Philadelphia is in trouble with the department for posing.

Jack Slivinski posed shirtless in front of the fountain at Logan Circle for a calendar of firefighters from cities around the country.  Slivinski, 31, and Local 22 President Bill Gault, decided the proceeds would support widows of firefighters. 

But as the Daily News reported this morning, Commissioner Lloyd Ayers isn’t happy about the pose, saying firefighters shouldn’t be selling sex. Slivinski has been reassigned from his post at Engine 1 in Northern Liberties as he awaits disciplinary action, which could range from a letter of reprimand on his file to a suspension. And Slivinski probably won’t be in the calendar.
