There could be a foot of snow before this storm is over. Clarina Tolson is Streets Commissioner. She says the department will use trash trucks as part of their plowing effort.
Tolson: We are converting our trash trucks to snowplows, so we are suspending trash collections for both Thursday and Friday. Trash collections for those days will occur next week as opposed to this week.
The commissioner is also calling for the clearing of all snow emergency routes. She reminds people to be careful how they park on streets. She wants plows to have ample room to operate.
