Philadelphia boy disappears in Atlantic City surf
Authorities have resumed their search Monday for a Philadelphia boy who disappeared while swimming with his family in Atlantic City.
Ten-year-old Khitan Devine and his family were in the ocean near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard after lifeguards had gone off duty when they got caught in a strong current around 7 p.m. Sunday.
Devine’s stepmother, Rosemary Brown, tells The Press of Atlantic City her stepson was pulled toward a jetty and disappeared.
Rescuers suspended their search after two hours.
