Philadelphia activates Heatline through midnight
We’ve got a long, hot day ahead of us, and the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging knows it. The agency will activate its Heatline at noon today and will remain open until midnight.
The line is a partnership with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health to provide tips for avoiding and staying cool in the heat. Though Heatline operators can contact 911 if an emergency presents itself, the number is not an emergency line. It’s also not a fan or a/c distribution site.
Residents can call 215-765-9040 for tips between noon and midnight today.
