Phanatic hits mom in the face with ball during birthday celebration
The Phils beat the Marlins yesterday, but the game wasn’t the real Sunday show. Before the game, the Phanatic rounded up some mascot friends to help him celebrate his birthday at Citizens Bank Park. The costumed game took a bit of an unfriendly turn.
During a pitch to his mom, Phoebe, the Phanatic hit the well-dressed lady square in the face, resulting in a dramatic-looking fall, which you can see on the 700Level. It’s tough to see through that furry face.
