PETA offers solution for bankrupt Philadelphia Orchestra

How ’bout some cute farm animals with your classical music? People for the Ethical Treatment of animals wants to save animals and the Philadelphia Orchestra.

PETA wants to help the bankrupt orchestra with an exchange: “Display PETA’s pro-vegan ad on the backs of musicians’ music stands, and PETA will donate money to help save the orchestra.”

PETA wrote to Orchestra President and CEO Allison Vulgamore with the idea to display the pro-vegan ads, which features a photo of a pig and the line, “A Vegan Diet Is Music to Animals’ Ears. Go Vegan.”

WHYY’s Lizz Fiedler will have more on this story later.
