Pennsylvanians prove loyal to the Phillies once again in annual baseball poll

Despite having a less than stellar season so far, the Phillies are still No. 1 in most Pennsylvanians’ hearts.

Quinnipiac has released its annual baseball poll today after asking residents to reveal their MLB loyalties.

The northeast and southeast corners of the state are all about the Phils. In the northwest and southwest, the Pirates dominate baseball fans’ TV sets.

Last year, 50 percent of those polled in Central Pennsylvania preferred the Phils. The Phillies are still in the lead there, but only 38 percent to the Pirates’ 19 percent.
