Penn Charter, Imhotep, GFS and Springside shine in 2013 Penn Relays [PHOTOS]

The country’s oldest and largest track and field competition, the Penn Relays, was held at the University of Pennsylvania’s Franklin Field in West Philadelphia this past Thursday through Saturday.

The event, which featured 15,000 participants from high schools, colleges and track clubs throughout the U.S. and beyond, put a handful of Northwest Philly schools in the Philadelphia spotlight.

Germantown Friends School took second place in the High School Girls Distance Medley Championship of America.

Penn Charter won the High School Boys Interac 4×400 race, which they win nearly every year.
