Penn doctor to lead American Heart Association

Beginning July 1 of next year, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Dr. Mariell Jessup will be the American Heart Association president.

Jessup, who focuses on the management of heart failure patients, has been involved with the AHA for more than two decades.

Our partners at the Philadelphia Business Journal report Jessup will work with incoming President Dr. Donna Arnett and represent the AHA when Arnett can’t travel.
