Peace, love and horseshoe crabs

Planning on stopping by the Peace, Love & Horseshoe Crabs Festival this weekend?

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control is hosting the event at the DuPont Nature Center at Mispillion Harbor Reserve, 2992 Lighthouse Road. It runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The annual festival (this year is the third) marks the annual migration of shorebirds like the red knot and spawning horseshoe crabs.

NewsWorks has looked at the peculiar habits of the horseshoe crab before.
