Parents who owe child support picked up in statewide sweep

    More than 30 parents who were behind in their child support payments in Gloucester County, New Jersey were picked up this week as part of a sweep conducted by the Sheriff’s Association of New Jersey.

    According to the Gloucester County Times, some 39 parents were picked up as part of the twice yearly sweep.

    The 39 parents owe a combined $703,441.

    During the three-day sweep, the Gloucester County Times reports 1,074 warrants were served and approximately $211,453.27 was collected.

    In Camden County, 105 people owing a collective $1.849 million were arrested, according to the report.
