Palin calls Christie’s attack on Gingrich a ‘rookie mistake’

Say what you will about Sarah Palin, but the woman knows a thing or two about falling prey to the media’s love of a GOP soap opera.

So she had a bit of advice for N.J. Gov. Chris Christie after he called GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, “an embarrassment to the party.”

Christie’s insult came after Gingrich beat Mitt Romney in the South Carolina primary. And Palin jumped right into the mix to discuss how people tend to, “get their panties in a wad,” when their candidate loses.

Christie’s move to defend Romney was a rookie mistake, she says, and he needs a little more time in office to learn that the media will do what they have to to boost ratings.

Of course, Palin’s panties comment took no time to hit the Internet in stories that treat the GOP race like a soap opera.
