Pa. welfare assistant still working despite resiging over journal publication

There’s no end in sight for Robert W. Patterson’s state employment.

Despite announcing his resignation as special assistant to Pa. Department of Public Welfare Secretary Gary Alexander, Patterson is still in his job. He tendered resignation more than a week ago when the state denied his request to work there and for the conservative journal that rejects many welfare programs.

The Inquirer reports a date for Patterson’s exit hasn’t been determined. The state had little else to say except that the transition process has begun.
